October 16, 2007 Executive Board Meeting 


Attendees: Jeff Smith, Neil Miller, Tim Kosiba, Wayne Schaumberg, Peggy Neidlinger, Colleen Bowers, Ann Palrang

Jeff began the meeting with announcing the remaining board members: Melissa Redmer from the Woman’s Club of Perry Hall and Laura Kimball from Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association.

Board Meetings will be the third Tuesday of the month commencing at 6:30 PM for board members and opening to general assembly at 7:30 PM, place to be announced.

Final decision has not been made on the date to visit with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Prince George's County Dept. of Parks and Recreation. November 6th & 8th are tentative.

Proposal of a joint meeting with Baltimore County (Bob Barrett, BCRP) to determine what are the guidelines for beginning restoration of the mansion.

Plan to be developed on renovations and use of collected funds from state and county.
Goal would be to be able to begin work on rooms by Fall 2008.

Ann Palrang motioned for the establishment of a convenience fund and the motioned was seconded by Peggy N

Board to begin developing a Thank You letter for memberships received.

Open banking issues to be settled before opening a checking account for deposit of member’s checks. Tax status to be verified, Interest, signature cards and determination of which bank will be used for transactions.

• Friends of Ballestone Manor to speak at General Assembly meeting
• Reconnect with members
• Use of membership cards/charter memberships
• Proposed date for Holiday Reception for members of the Friends of Perry Hall Mansion (12/11, 7-11PM place TBD)

o Marketing plan and invitation for Holiday Reception
o Raffle of David Marks Crossroads book
o Have photos of the mansion past and present for the reception
